Rs. 5 b allocated for dev. schemes to be implemented through LBs

QUETTA: The funds of Rs. 5 billion have been allocated for the development schemes to be implemented through the local bodies in Balochistan.
This was informed by the Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development, Naseebullah Khan Bazai during a briefing conducted for the Secretaries Committee here the other day. The Chief Secretary, Saifullah Chattha presided over the briefing.
The meeting reviewed the ongoing and new development schemes included in the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for the year 2015-16 besides other related matters.
It was informed that the funds of Rs. 10 billion have been allocated for the development schemes to be executed through the departments.
Addressing on the occasion, the Chief Secretary directed to release the development funds for the new financial year immediately as delay in their release would not be tolerated whatsoever.
The ACS Planning and Development furhter told that aggregately funds of Rs. 54.5 billion have been allocated for the development schemes during the financial year 2015-16.
Out of the total funds, Rs. 19.5 billion would be sent on the ongoing 940 schemes while Rs. 31.58 billion would be spent on the new 1310 development schemes to be executed during the new financial year.
