Raza Barech assures to resolve issues of teachers, students

QUETTA: A meeting with regard to implementation of the demands of Government Teachers Association of Balochistan (GTAB) was held at the provincial Boy Scouts Association’s headquarter here the other day.
The Advisor to Chief Minister for Education, Sardar Raza Muhammad Barech, Secretary Secondary Education, Abdul Saboor Kakar, Additional Secretaries Education, Asfandyar Kakar, Muhammad Tayab Lehri and Munir Ahmed, Director Schools, Saleem Akhtar Ansari, Deputy Secretary Education as well as the President GTAB, Muhammad Nawaz Jatak, Chairman Consultation Council, Mujeebullah Gharsheen, Secretary General, Habibur Rehman Mardanzai, Chief Organizer, Muhammad Ishaq Jamali, Muhammad Khan Nosherwani, Amanullah Piralizai, Hafeezullah Essazai, Muhammad Siddique Mushwani and others attended the meeting.
The meeting discussed the demands included in the charter of demand of the GTAB in detail. It was decided that the Secretary Education would get approval for the 50 percent promotion quota by attending the meeting held regarding amendment in the relevant rules (regarding the 50 percent promotion quota).
The meeting is scheduled to be held on July 6, it was informed in the meeting.
It was also decided that the teachers would be sent for pilgrimage (Hajj) under the Benevolent Fund for the issue is pending for last two years as well as this year under a special quota.
Similarly, the pending summaries regarding up-gradation of the head master and subject specialist from BS-17 to BS-18 as well as the reformation of the SSTs’ BS-17 Time Scale Formula would be moved for approval after removing the objections on them.
In this regard, the Additional Secretaries Education, Asfandyar Kakar and Muhammad Tayyab Lehri would take measures for approval of the summaries by taking special interest.
Similarly, it was also decided to observe the summer vacations from July 20-30, 2015 in the schools located in the cold areas of the province including Quetta, Ziarat, Pishin Harnai and other parts.
The GTAB leadership on the occasion assured their wholehearted cooperation in improving standard of education as well as discouragement of absenteeism of teachers and thus ensuring better academic environment in the schools.
The Advisor for Education, Sardar Raza Muhammad Barech and Secretary Education on the occasion also pledged to resolve the issues being faced by the teachers and students in the province.
