MCA Peshawar wins All Pakistan T-20 Ramadan Cup Cricket Tourney

QUETTA: Malik Cricket Academy (MCA) Peshawar overpowered Peshawar Region in final of the All Pakistan T-20 Balochistan Ramadan Cup Cricket Tournament 2015 here on Friday night.
With thumbing victory in the final, MCA also lifted the trophy of the tournament at the Bugti Stadium.
It proved to be a thrilling victory that was registered by the MCA Peshawar with 24 runs.
MCA elected to bat first after winning the toss.
It scored 162 runs at the loss of seven wickets in stipulated 20 overs.
Jumma Gul and Sajid Khan were the highest scorers with 43 and 32 runs respectively. Sajid Khan remained unbeaten.
Akbar Badshah, Jibran, Shah Faisal and Imran Junior took one wicket each.
In reply, the Peshawar Region could not face the harsh bowling of the MCA bowlers. It scored just 138 runs in 18.4 overs.
Akbar Badshah and Iftikhar Ahmed scored 39 and 29 runs respectively. Akbar remained unbeaten.
Abid Afridi did excellent bowling for MCA and took three wickets for 15 runs. Ziaullah bowled two players.
Sajid Khan was declared Man of the Match.
Ghulam Sarwar and Khalid Mehmood supervised the match.
Fahimuddin Tariq was the official scorer.
The Inspector General of Frontier Corps Major General Sher Afgun was the chief guest of final match.
He distributed prizes among the players and officials.
Cash prizes of Rs. 200,000 and Rs. 100,000 were announced for the winning and runners-up teams.
It may be mentioned here that the tournament was organized by the provincial government in collaboration with Frontier Corps.
