Secretary PTA warns:
HQ City Report
QUETTA: The Secretary Provincial Transport Authority (PTA), Abdul Khaliq Mandokhail has said that some coach owners and transporters are using their transport for transportation of cattle.
While the route permits have been issues for carrying passengers and providing them the necessary travelling facilities, the misuse of route permits would not be allowed, he maintained during inspection of the route permits of the local buses running on different routes in the city.
The Secretary PTA warned that if the public transport can’t be used for the passengers, then the same should be converted into loading trucks as it would not be allowed to use the route permits for that purpose, he asserted.
In this regard, a letter would be sent to the Deputy Inspector General Police Quetta so as to check the route permits of the buses running on different routes.
It would also ensure prevention of the illegal business through the route permits of the buses, the Secretary PTA said.
He said that no one would be allowed to misuse the route permits already issued to the transporters for different routes in the province.
Needless to mention here is that the crackdown against the illegal route permit holders and unauthorized public transport had been launched on orders of the Provincial Minister for Transport, Revenue.
