World Orphans Day observed

QUETTA: World Orphans Day was observed under the aegis of Pakistan Orphan Care Forum the other day.
It may be mentioned here that 15th of Ramadan is celebrated every year as the World Orphans Day.
Speaking in this regard at an Iftar dinner in Kuchlak area, the provincial President of Al-Khidmat Foundation Balochistan, Asim Sanjrani said that objective behind observance of Orphans Day is to resolve the issues of the orphaned childrens and help them out in their daily life.
The Orphans Day is celebrated under the umbrella of OIC on 15th of Ramadanul Mubarak every year, so we are also observing them.
He stressed that the philanthropists should come forward to help the orphans, widows and other deserving and needy persons so that they are able to lead life like others in the society.
He said that a large number of people lost their lives in different disasters and natural calamities hit the country in last decade. They had also rendered several children orphan.
So, it is our collective responsibility to take care of them well, he stressed.
The Provincial General Secretary of Al-Khidmat Foundation, Jamil Ahmed and other office bearers Abdul Sattar, Muhammad Hussain and others were also present.
World Orphans Day is aimed at emphasizing on the group of children that are mostly abused and it is foreseen that there is need for sustainable projects that is real, lasting and can change the lives of children.
