QUETTA: A conference of the members of the provincial assembly belonging to Quetta and officers of the Education Department would be arranged soon in Quetta.
This was stated by the Advisor to Chief Minister for Education, Sardar Raza Muhammad Barech and Secretary Secondary Education, Abdul Saboor Kakar while addressing a meeting of the department earlier last week.
The Advisor to Chief Minister presided over the meeting. Also present on the occasion were the Additional Secretary Education, Muhammad Tayyab Lehri and other concerned high ups.
The Deputy DEO Chiltan Town, Gul Muhammad Kakar briefed the participants about state of the schools in Chiltan Town. He also briefed the Advisor and other high ups of Education regarding facilities available besides the issues being faced by the educational institutions located in the Chiltan Town.
The conference would focus on the issues facing the schools besides problems of the teachers and students.
The Advisor for Education on the occasion said that the nations, which pay extra ordinary attention towards education, only progress and make distinctions in the world.
So, would also have to focus on education ensuring quality education to make strides achieving goal of development and prosperity, Barech stressed.
He also said that promotion of education is the basic objective of the provincial government, this is why, it is paying special attention towards it.
The budget for education has also been increased to a great extent in the new financial year 2015-16, he mentioned.
We would be leaving no stone unturned to achieve the goal of quality education in the province, he maintained.
He also said that it is our prime responsibility to improve educational institutions in the province.
Speaking on the occasion, the Secretary Secondary Education said that no compromise would be made over the issues of discipline and attendance of teachers in the schools.
He said that the joint meeting of the members of the assembly and officers of the Education department would discuss as how to bring improvement in state of education affairs in the province.
