Muhammad Khan Achakzai directs to concerned
authorities to take steps for prevention of
wastage of water all over province

QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Muhammad Khan Achakzai has underlined the need to ensure proper use of drinking water by the people.
He directed to the concerned authorities to take steps on emergent basis for prevention of wastage of water, otherwise it would be disastrous for future.
The Governor was speaking to different delegations from various areas, who called on him here at the Governor House the other day.
The delegation, who called on the Governor under leadership of Chairman Municipal Committee, Noshki, Manzoor Ahmed Pirkani, informed him about the issues being faced by people of Noshki particularly regarding shortage of water in their area.
The members of the delegation informed the Governor that the water crisis is deepening in Noshki district with every passing day. Although the Town Committee is taking steps on self help basis to resolve the issue, still more steps are needed in this regard, adding they pleaded.
Speaking to the delegation from Noshki, the Governor said that the entire world is facing the issue of water, however, the situation is critical in the developing countries due to lack of proper planning and system.
Talking to the Chairman Municipal Committee, the Governor also said that the basic objective behind establishment of local governments is to resolve the issues faced by the people at their doorstep. So it is responsibility of the LB representatives to serve the masses in their respective areas and thus playing their play role in making the system more effective, he stressed.
He also stressed the need to create awareness among the general public about judicious use of water so as to conserve it.
Meanwhile, a delegation led by Malik Muhammad Anwar Barech also called on the Governor, Muhammad Khan Achakzai the same day.
He also apprised him about the issues being faced by the people of his area.
The Governor assured to play his part in resolving the issues as raised by the delegation.
