DEO directs teachers to ensure presence at work places

QUETTA: The District Education Officer (DEO) Quetta, Muteeb Ahmed has directed to all teachers of Quetta District to ensure their attendance at their respective places of posting.
According to a statement issued here, the DEO Quetta mentioned that the academic activities are continued from August 1 in all schools of the Quetta District after the summer vacation.
So, there’s no room for the teachers to remain absent from their duties and commit any negligence or carelessness, he said.
The Secretary Secondary Education has already issued directives to all the government teachers to ensure their presence at their respective work places so that the studies of students may not be affected and their syllabus is completed timely.
In this connection, the Secretary Secondary Education himself as well as the District Education Officers Male and Female have started paying visit of different schools to carry out inspection of the schools, check syllabus besides reviewing educational standard there.
Legal action would be taken against those students found absent from their duty as well as those who did not complete the syllabus during inspection. They could also be suspended, he warned. The DEO also appealed to the parents to make their children bound to attend their schools.
It may be mentioned here that the Secretary Secondary Education, Abdul Saboor Kakar during inspection of the Sandeman School took action against Principal and three teachers on their negligence.
The action, the Secretary took during his surprise visit to the Sandeman Boys High School here the other day.
He took serious notice of the low attendance of the students in the School after the summer vacation.
On the occasion, he also inspected different classrooms in the School.
He posed different questions to the students in class and expressed his dismay over the poor quality of education being imparted to them.
