QUETTA: Provincial Minister for Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs, Mir Mujeebur Rehman Muhammad Hassani has stated that the youth of the province has brightened the name of the province in different sectors including sports.
He was talking to a delegation of youngsters who called on him under leadership of a leader of Peoples Party, Mir Qadir Bakhsh Muhammad Hassani here the other day.
He said that the provincial government is mobilizing all available resources for promotion of sports and encouragement of the youth for their participation in healthy activities.
He said that sports and other positive healthy activities are the best mean to keep the youth away from negative activities and particularly the narcotics.
The Minister Youth Affairs said that there is no dearth of talent in our youth rather they are second to none. They have earned laurels for the province and the country at the national and international level, he commended.
He urged the youth to take part in the healthy activities being organized by the government in different parts of the province including Quetta.
He said that every year, different sports competitions are being arranged in Quetta and other parts just to provide opportunities to youth for participation.
Balochistan Sports Festival and All Pakistan Ramadan Cricket Cup T 20 Tournament were part of the activities, he added.
He said that the government would continue to hold similar nature sports activities in province in the future.
He said that the very objective behind such activities is to engage youth in healthy activities. It would help them to physically and mentally groom enabling them to shoulder their future responsibilities, he maintained.
