QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Muhammad Khan Achakzai has assured that every possible support would be extended to resolve the financial issues being faced by the Children Hospital Quetta (CHQ).
However, he underlined the need to restructure the Board of the Hospital in order to improve its administrative affairs.
The Governor was talking to a delegation of the CHQ comprising its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Professor Dr. Abdullah Jan Jaffar and its Board members including Fazal Qadir Shirani and Brigadier ® Abdul Razzaq Baloch. Also present on the occasion were the Secretary Health, Noorul Haq Baloch and Secretary Finance, Mushtaq Ahmed Raisani.
The Governor was briefed about the issues being faced by the CHQ.
While briefing the Governor about overall functioning of the CHQ, Dr. A.J.Jaffar said that we are determined extend the health facilities to the patients despite the limited resources.
The Governor while assuring every possible support to the CHQ CEO and Board Members said that the provincial government would be asked to do the needful in this regard.
He on the occasion stressed the need to reduce too much expenditures of the Hospital so as to continue the health services there.
The Governor also stressed that the Hospital should provide the necessary facilities under one roof in different sectors expanding the circle of professional services.
He assured to recommend the donor agencies for provision of modern equipments in the Hospital. In this regard, every possible support would be extended, he assured further.
Meanwhile, the female members of the Quetta Metropolitan Corporation (QMC) also called on the Governor the same day. Different the civic issues facing the city were discussed in the meeting.
