QUETTA: The flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Commissioner’s Office here the other day.
The Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Dawood Khan Khilji hoisted the national flag at the ceremony.
Also present on the occasion were the Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue, Muhammad Yasir Bazai, Additional Deputy Commissioner, General, Muhammad Yaqoob Marri, Assistant Commissioner City, Tariq Mengal, Assistant Commissioner Political, Nasrullah Khan and other officers.
A contingent of Levies Force presented salute on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that the alive nations celebrate their days of independence with enthusiasm.
He said that we have to pledge to play our role for development and defence of the country. He also said that we are struggling against the menace of terrorism, ignorance and other social evils. The day is not far away when we would rid our society of the social evils.
