Four butchers arrested as crackdown against profiteers continue

QUETTA: The crackdown against the profiteers is continued in different parts of the provincial metropolis.
The Special Magistrate, Babarak Khan raided the butchers shops located on Patel Road and in Gwalmandi area. He took action against the butchers selling the meat other than the prescribed official rates.
Similarly, the Special Magistrate, Inayatullah visited the Zarghoon abad and Aalmo chowk and inspected the butchers’ shops. On violation of the official price list, he also took action against those violating the official price list.
While on the other hand, the Special Magistrate, Ajmal Shah inspected the shops in Shalkot and Sadar areas.
Four shop keepers were also arrested on the same charges of profiteering.
The Special Magistrates also issued warning to the shopkeepers to mend their way and refrain from profiteering. Otherwise, stern action would be taken against them.
No one would be spared in this regard, they warned.
It was noticed that some shopkeepers are not following the official price list. As a result, it was decided to launch crackdown against them.
The Deputy Commissioner took serious notice of the situation and directed to the concerned to take action against the violators.
