Marked celebrations of Independence at Girl Guide House

QUETTA: The celebrations of Independence were held at the Girl Guide House here the other day.
Organized by the Pakistan Girl Guides, the function was attended by the Head Girl Guide, Mrs. Azmat Hasan Baloch besides other office bearers and the girl guides. The students of different schools were also present in the ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Azmat Hasan Baloch said that independence is a great blessing of Allah Almighty, and as such we have to value it.
We should also celebrate the Independence with great fervor and national spirit so that the world knows that we are fully aware of its value and that we know how to protect it.
The Head Girl Guide also stressed the need to tell the younger generation that how difficultly our forefathers had got freedom from the clutches of the then British empire and Indian hierarchy.
It is our responsibility now to work harder and harder for development and stability of our country, she stressed.
She said that development of the country is really development of all of us, so we should not hesitate in rendering any kind of sacrifice for our beloved country.
On the day of Independence, we should pledge to wage struggle for protection and development of the country, stressing she concluded.
