Govt. attaches special attention towards dev. of agriculture sector

QUETTA: The present provincial government attaches special attention towards development of agriculture sector in the province and as such it is taking certain steps in this regard.
This was stated by the Secretary Agriculture, Abdul Rehman Buzdar while addressing a seminar on agriculture here at the Directorate of Agriculture Research here the other day.
The renowned economist Dr. Naik Muhammad Buzdar was the key speaker at the seminar, which was attended by the Director General of Agriculture Extension, Yar Muhammad Pindrani, Director General Engineering, Abdul Manan Raisani, Director General, Water Management, Abdul Wahab Kakar, Director General Agriculture Research Institute, Dr. Javed Tareen, besides other concerned.
Also present on the occasion was the former Secretary Agriculture, Abdul Salam.
Speaking on the occasion, the Secretary Agriculture maintained that the Chief Minister, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch had declared year 2015-16 as the year of Agriculture. By doing so, the Chief Minister has won the hearts of zamindars in the province.
Now it is responsibility of all the concerned officials of Agriculture department to work hard to achieve the desired goals of agriculture development.
He thanked Dr. Naik Muhammad Buzdar for his participation in the seminar and hoped that the participating Agriculture officers and other employees would benefit from his experiences.
In his key-note address, Dr. Naik Muhammad Buzdar highlighted the importance of education and research in the agriculture sector.
