Negligence, carelessness in medical profession is intolerable, asserts Secretary Health

QUETTA: The Secretary Health Balochistan, Noorul Haq Baloch has called on the doctors and other medical staff to take every possible measures for provision of healthcare facilities to the ailing persons.
He was talking to the medical staff during his visit to District Headquarter Hospital Khuzdar the other day.
The Secretary Health asserted that there’s no room for negligence and carelessness in the medical profession and as such no one committing neglect would be spared at all, he added.
Noorul Haq Balloch went round of different sections of the DHQ Hospital and inspected the facilities available there.
The Member National Assembly, Maulana Qamaruddin, Deputy Commissioner Khuzdar, Abdul Waheed Shah, Chairman Municipal Corporation Khuzdar, Mir Abdul Rahim Kurd, Dr. Yousaf Bizenjo, Project Director Khuzdar Medical College, Dr. Pir Jan Khawajakhail, Medical Superintendent of DHQ Hospital, Dr. Muhammad Ismail Bajoi and other senior medical staff was also present on the occasion. He briefed the visiting Secretary Health about the overall working of the Hospital.
The Secretary expressed anguish over non-functioning of the X-Ray machine in the Hospital. He directed to the concerned to get the machine repaired within a week time.
He also announced that the dialysis center would start working in the Hospital from next month. It would facilitate the patients, he said.
The Secretary on the occasion said that it is desire of the provincial government to make all the health centers effective and operational so that the people may be provided the necessary health facilities without any delay.
He urged the doctors to serve the ailing humanity with dedication and sincerity. He announced that the academic activities would start from the next session in the new medical colleges being established in Khuzdar, Turbat and Loralai.
The admission for the next session would be in the new medical colleges, he revealed.
Earlier, in his briefing, the MS DHQ Khuzdar said that the hospital is included in the important civil hospitals of the province. He pointed out towards the issues of shortage of doctors, medical and sanitary staff in the Hospital, which otherwise is affecting its working.
He assured to address the issues being faced by the DHQ Hospital. He said that the hurdles in way of working of the hospitals would be removed.
Meanwhile, the Secretary Health also visited building of the Khuzdar Medical College and inspected the ongoing development work there.
