QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch has directed to form a high level committee to probe into the issues regarding result of the annual examinations of Intermediate and the resentment prevailing among the students.
According to an official hand out on late Monday night, the Chief Minister took notice of the chaos created the other day following protest of the students in the city.
The committee would submit its report after reviewing the objections and reservations of the students about the result of the F.A and F.Sc, which was declared last week by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Quetta.
The students had demonstrated strong protest against what they termed certain alleged anomalies in the result. A chaos was created following the protest of students in the metropolis causing great hardships to the citizens.
In backdrop of the directives of the Chief Minister, the Provincial Minister for Health, Mir Rehmat Saleh Baloch had a meeting with the secretaries of Education departments, the authorities of BISE Quetta and the senior officials of Police.
In light of the directives of the Chief Minister, a committee headed by the Director Colleges, was constituted immediately.
The members of the committee are included: Additional Secretary Higher Education, Additional Secretary Secondary Education, Controller Examinations BISE Quetta and Deputy Secretary, Establishment.
The students, who have objections or reservations over their result, have been directed to submit the same in written to the committee within a week time so as to review them and remove the same as soon as possible.
It would be ensured that injustice is not done with any one, the official hand out stated.
While on the other hand, the meeting chaired by the Health Minister, expressed its concern that some negative elements tried to create law and order situation using the peaceful protest of the students.
However, the police foiled their attempts maintaining law and order, it was commended in the meeting.
It was decided to reveal the elements behind the chaos created the other day. Moreover, it was decided to form a fact finding inquiry to probe into the issue.
There was a consensus in the meeting on continued efforts for elimination of cheating in the examinations. The government would continue to take steps in this regard on sound footing, it was decided further.
No compromise would be made on cheating in the examinations, it was pledged.
