Standing Committee to discuss Prevention and Control of Thalassaemia Bill

QUETTA: A meeting of the Standing Committee of Balochistan Assembly for Health and Population Welfare is scheduled to be held at 11:00 AM today (Tuesday) at the Committee Room of the Provincial Assembly’s Secretariat here.
The Chairperson of the Standing Committee, Dr. Ruqiya Saeed Hashmi would chair the meeting. The members of the committee including the Provincial Minister for Health, Mir Rehmat Saleh Baloch, Members of the Provincial Assembly, Dr. Shama Ishaq Baloch, Mir Hamal Kalmati, Mufti Gulab Khan Kakar, Manzoor Ahmed Kakar and Provincial Minister for Sports, Youth Affairs and Culture, Mir Mujeebur Rehman Muhammad Hassani are expected to attend the meeting. The Secretary Health, Noorul Haq Baloch would also attend the meeting.
The Standing Committee would discuss the proposed draft law of the Balochistan Prevention and Control of Thalassaemia Bill 2015.
All the concerned members have been asked to attend the meeting.
Meanwhile, a meeting of the Standing Committee for Industries, Mines, Mineral Development, Labour and Manpower is scheduled to be held tomorrow (Wednesday) at the same venue of the Committee Room of the Assembly.
The Chairman of the Standing Committee, Sardar Dur Muhammad Nasser would preside over the meeting.
The meeting is expected to be attended by the Provincial Minister for Labour and Manpower Mir Sarfraz Domki, Mir Fateh Muhammad Buledi, Akbar Askani, Manzoor Ahmed Kakar, Ms. Arifa Siddique and Ghansham Das, besides the Secretary of the concerned department.
The proposed draft act of the Industrial Relations in Balochistan would be on agenda for discussion and review in the meeting.
Earlier, tthe introductory meeting of the standing committee of Balochistan Assembly for Services and General Administration Department, Inter-Provincial Coordination, Law, Parliamentary Affairs and Prosecution was held here the other day.
The Member of Provincial Assembly and Chairman of the Standing Committee, William Barkat presided over the meeting. The Member Provincial Assembly, Ms. Spozmai Achakzai besides Secretary Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Syed Safdar Hussain, Provincial Secretary for Inter-Province Coordination, Muhammad Ali attended the meeting.
The Secretaries concerned briefed the meeting about affairs of their respective departments.
