Closing ceremony of USAID SGAFP held at ABURO

QUETTA: The closing ceremony of United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Small Grants and Ambassador’s Fund Program (SGAFP) was held here at the Adara-e-Behbood-e-Umar Rasida (ABURO) Old Age Home the other day.
The Begum Commander Southern Command and Begum Chief of Staff HQ Southern Command along with large number of lady guests, member of the Board attended the ceremony.
In welcome address Brig (R) Abdul Razaq Baloch highlighted the salient features of SGAFP and explained the items purchased from the fund.
Speaking on the occasion, the wife of Commander Southern Command was pleased to see ABURO functioning.
She also appreciated the efforts of the management of the ABURO in its establishment and making it functional.
Meanwhile, two old ladies were admitted in the Institute the same day. The visiting guests also met the elderly women admitted there.
Nevertheless, this is the first and most organized Old Age Home in Balochistan.
It was also hoped that USAID, SGAFP would continue their support in next phase also so that project is completed to accommodate fifty old, destitute, needy abandoned and poor ladies.
The Chief Minister Balochistan, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch is likely to visit the ABURO soon.
