QUETTA Sep 19 (PPI): The Grievance Commissioner for Overseas Pakistanis Hafiz Ahsaan Ahmed Khokar has said that the Federal Ombudsman is taking various steps for resolving public issues.
Speaking at press conference here Saturday he said that the one window facilitation desk at Quetta Airport for overseas Pakistanis will be inaugurated in 2nd week of October.
He told that the representatives of twelve various departments will be available 24 hours at desk to resolve issues of overseas Pakistanis while the effective monitoring and evaluation system will also be set up in this regard.
He said that more than one lakh complaints have been disposed off by Federal Ombudsman in two years.
Hafiz Ahsaan said that the Ombudsman offices will be set up at districts level for providing rapid justice to the people.
He said that reforms are being brought in Jails of Pakistan in this connection the Allama Iqbal Open University and Federal Ombudsman have signed a MOU.
According to MOU the Open University will provide Books and take examinations at free of cost while technical training courses will also be started by AIOU in all prisons throughout Pakistan.
