Monsoon tree plantation campaign to continue till November next

QUETTA: The Monsoon tree plantation campaign would remain continued till November 2015 in the province.
This was decided in a meeting of the Secretary Provincial Forest and Wildlife Department with the officers of the department of North and South Regions here the other day.
The meeting reviewed the ongoing Monsoon tree plantation campaign 2015.
It was informed that 0.6 million saplings are being planted during the campaign in different parts of the province.
The saplings are being arranged from the nurseries of the Forest department, it was informed further.
It was also informed that although the Monsoon season usually starts from July 15, however, the intensity of heat reduces after August 15, so the tree plantation can be done from August 16 to November.
The Secretary Forests and Wildlife stressed the need to take full care of the saplings planted during the Monsoon plantation campaign.
It should be ensured to provide the saplings to such people and officers who take care of them, he stressed.
The Secretary Forests also directed to the concerned officers to make arrangements for plantation of the saplings by the Governor and Chief Minister Balochistan.
