Two medical stores sealed in same vicinity
on charges of stocking expiry medicines
and running them without licenses

QUETTA: Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Dawood Khilji along with Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations, Waheedur Rehman Khattak, District Health Officer (DHO) Dr. Shah Jahan and other concerned high ups visited the cattle market set up for the sacrificial animals in the Eastern-bye pass area on Monday.
They inspected the security arrangements adopted there for protection of the life and property of the people visiting the cattle market.
The Deputy Commissioner assured to take every possible security measures on the occasion. Meanwhile, two medical stores were also sealed in the same area.
The medical stores were sealed on the charges of keeping the expiry drugs as well as on running the stores without valid licenses.
Needless to mention here is that the district administration had decided to launch crackdown against the sellers and manufacturers of the fake drugs in the metropolis the other day.
The decision to this effect was made during a meeting held here the other day. The Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Dawood Khan Khilji presided over the meeting.
The District Health Officer (DHO) Quetta, Dr. Shah Jahan Panezai as well as the drug inspectors attended the meeting.
The meeting reviewed the issues related to sale and purchase of the illegal and fake medicines in the Quetta district.
In view of its alleged sale and purchase, the district administration decided to take stern action against those involved in the illicit trade of the illegal drugs.
