PTA Secretary, other officials visit Spinny Road bus & wagon terminal

QUETTA: The Secretary Provincial Transport Authority (PTA) Abdul Khaliq Mandokhail along with the Secretary Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Amanullah Panezai and other concerned officials visited the Spinny road bus and wagon addah the other day.
They reviewed the fares being charged from the passengers of different routes at the bus and wagon addah there. They inspected the fares of Zhob, Ziarat, Pishin, Killa Abdullah, Killa Saifullah, Chaman and other areas by visiting different transport offices.
The Secretary PTA and other concerned inquired from the passengers about the fares being charged from them for different routes.
Needless to mention here is that the exercise is being done on special directives of the Provincial Minister for Transport, Revenue and Excise, Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail and under supervision of Secretary Transport Department, Muhammad Khalid Baloch.
Abdul Khaliq Mandokhail said that the fares of the transports are being checked so that the passengers are not fleeced particularly on the festive occasion of Eidul Azha.
He announced that the inspection of registers and tickets would also be carried out in the offices of different transporters.
Stern action would be taken against those overcharging the fares from passengers, he warned. The route permits of their transport would be cancelled on the complaints to be lodged by the travelers, the Secretary PTA asserted.
Moreover, the action would also be taken against the transporters, who were found while overloading and over speeding. The carelessness and negligence cause fatal accidents, so transporters should have to be careful while carrying the passengers, he stressed.
It is responsibility of the transporters to adopt necessary steps for safety of the passengers during travel, he stressed.
He also urged them to improve condition of the transport further so that the passengers may not face any issue and inconvenience.
He also directed to the transporters not to park their vehicles after Eid rather they should ply them on their respective routes.
