Traffic Police adopts special arrangements for today, tomorrow

QUETTA: The Senior Superintendent of Police (Traffic) has announced that the special arrangements have been made to keep the traffic running owing to the possible Eid rush of traffic on September 23 and 24.
According to an official notification issued here by the SSP Traffic, it would be a one way for traffic from Art School road to Patel road, Gordat Sindh cross and Kansi road sabzi gali (vegetable street).
The entry on the Kansi road would be from the Meezan chowk and the entry on the Art School road would be from McCongy –Art School road cross.
Moreover, the entry of the vehicles and motorcycles would be banned from the McCongy road, Dr. Yasin Street towards the Liaquat road – McCongy cross and on the Prince road, from the Prince - Masjid road cross towards Junction chowk.
The parking would be prohibited on both sides of the roads from McCongy road, Fire Brigade Office towards Dufferin Hospital Street.
Similarly, various other roads in the main city have also been declared one-way to accommodate the traffic rush ahead of the Eidul Azha. The parking has also been prohibited on different main city roads and streets in order to ensure smooth traffic flow there and save the people from inconvenience.
While the entry of the donkey carts as well as the push carts has also been banned during specific hours, the water tankers would also not be allowed to operate in the city areas between 6:00 PM to 01:00 AM.
Meanwhile, the rickshaw drivers have been asked not to park their rickshaws at corner of the chowks.
They should also avoid picking the passengers and dropping them right between the roads. Similarly, the rickshaw drivers have also been made bound to carry necessary route permits and licenses with them. Otherwise, stern action would be taken against them, it was warned.
The general public has also been requested to cooperate with the Traffic Police during the rush hours and avoid parking their vehicles in No Parking Zones.
