Ban imposed on collection of hides of sacrificial animals by banned organizations

QUETTA: The Home and Tribal Affairs, Government of Balochistan has imposed a ban on collection of the hides of the sacrificial animals by the banned organizations on Eidul Azha.
According to an official hand out issued here the other day, the ban has been imposed under Section 144.
A code of conduct has also been issued in this regard and it has been directed to ensure strict implementation on the same, the official hand issued here the other day.
As per the code of conduct, the banned organizations, which may be religious or political, would not have the permission to collect the hides of sacrificial animals. However, the welfare organizations would also have to obtain advance written permission from the respective Deputy Commissioners for collection of the animals’ hides.
It is every one’s basic right to give the hides of their sacrificing animals from their own will and they would the complete freedom to use their right, the official hand out mentioned.
A ban has also been imposed on use of loud speakers, banners, posters and erecting camps. Door to door collection of hides has also been outlawed, as has been mentioned in the official hand out issued here by the Provincial Home and Tribal Affairs department.
There would be permission to make announcements through loud speakers in the vehicles. The people may donate the sacrificial hides in the mosques, madrissa or any other welfare organization.
The workers of the organizations, institutions collecting hides of the animals have been asked to carry their national identity cards, their respective organizations’ cards and the copies of the permission letters issued by the Deputy Commissioners while shifting the hides from one place to the other. Otherwise, these would be confiscated. The necessary security would be provided to the vehicles carrying the sacrificial hides.
While on the other hand, carrying arms, ammunition and batons would also be banned on three days of Eid later this month.
The general public has been requested to lodge a complaint regarding the forceful collection of the hides or donations in the offices of the Deputy Commissioners or District Police Officers of their respective areas.
