Election of BBC members from various districts to be held on Oct. 17

QUETTA: The Balochistan Bar Council (BBC) has announced the schedule of election for members of the council from different districts.
According to an official press release issued here by the Chairman Bar Council, Advocate General Balochistan, Nazimuddin, who also happens to be the Returning Officer for the elections, from Group 1-4 members would be elected from Quetta, Chaghai, Noshki, Khuzdar, Kalat and Mastung districts.
From Group-II, one member would be elected from Kech, Panjgur, Gwadar, Lasbela, Awaran and Kharan and from Group-III, the election is being conducted for one seat from Sibi, Dera Bugti, Bolan, Naseerabad, Jaffarabad, Jhal Magsi and Kohlu districts.
Similarly, from Group-IV, there would be competition on one seat from Zhob, Loralai, Musakhail, Barkhan, Ziarat, Killa Saifullah and Killa Abdullah districts.
As per the election schedule, the nomination papers would be received on September 7-8 between 09:00 AM to 02:00 PM.
The list of the contesting candidates would be displayed on September 9 and 10. The scrutiny of nomination papers would be conducted on September 14.
The candidates would be able to withdraw their candidature on September 15 and 16.
The name of the candidates electing unopposed would be announced on September 17 while the final list of the candidates contesting elections would be issued on September 18.
As per the schedule, the polling for elections of the Balochistan Bar Council is scheduled to be held on October 17, 2015.
The polling would start at 09:00 AM and would remain continued till 05:00 PM.
