APCA leaders hail notification of up-gradation

QUETTA: The provincial leaders of All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA) have hailed the issuance of notification regarding up-gradation of the superintendents, assistants, junior clerks and employees of class four in the province.
Addressing a joint press conference here at the Press Club the other day, the leaders including Muhammad Younas Kakar, Abdullah Safi and others expressed their pleasure over the notification and thanked the cooperation of the Chief Minister, Advisor to Chief Minister for Finance, Secretary Finance and the media in this regard.
It was our longstanding demand to up-grade the employees and issue the necessary notification in this regard, and now it has been done after hectic efforts made by the APCA, they maintained.
They recalled that the long sit-in was observed as part of the protest campaign launched to press the government for acceptance of demands of the clerks.
Our leaders were also subjected to violence, they said adding that they were also awarded jail sentence, but they remained firm at their stance and thus achieved the goal.
They commended that the entire service structure of the employees has been changed with issuance of the necessary notification in this regard. Thousands of the government employees would benefit from up-gradation, the APCA leaders said.
