QUETTA: The Provincial Minister for Information, Information Technology, Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal visited the under construction Out Patient Department (OPD) Complex in the Sandeman Provincial Headquarter Hospital (Civil Hospital) here the other day.
He inspected the ongoing development work there. Also present on the occasion were the Medical Superintendent, Deputy Medical Superintendent and other senior staff of the Hospital.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister Information directed to execute the construction work in the OPD Complex.
The early completion of the project would benefit the people in general and patients visiting the OPD in particular, the Minister maintained.
Meanwhile, the Minister Information, who also happens to be the Parliamentary Leader of Pashtoonkhaw Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) in the provincial assembly, also went round of different sections and wards of the Hospital including the Cardiology Ward, Medical Ward, Angioplasty Ward, X-Ray Department, Neurology Ward besides others.
The MS and heads of the concerned wards and sections were also accompanied with the Minister. They diverted the attention of the Minister towards certain issues and lack of a few necessary equipment and machinery.
The Minister gave patient hearing to the issues as raised by the doctors concerned and assured that he would play his part in addressing the issues.
He also inquired about the health of the patients during his visit to various wards of the Hospital. Moreover, he also got himself acquainted about the facilities being provided to the patients.
The Minister directed to the MS and other senior doctors and staff of the Hospital to provide best possible healthcare facilities to the patients so that they may not suffer.
Ziaratwal said that the government has given priority to the health and education sectors with the aim to facilitate the people in these vital sectors.
He also assured that it would be ensured to provide medicines and other necessary machinery in the hospital.
