Meeting stresses need to introduce latest variety of seeds

QUETTA: A meeting of the Balochistan Agriculture Research Institute (ARI) was held with Director General, Dr. Muhammad Javed Tareen in the chair the other day.
All the concerned directors, agricultural scientists and zamindars of the province were in attendance at the meeting.
Speaking at the meeting, the DG Research said that all the research done or being done should focus on the issues being faced by the growers. It must facilitate the growers as well in promoting the agricultural yield in the province, adding he stressed. The DG on the occasion also stressed the need to introduce new varieties of seeds in view of the water shortage in the province. We should focus on the research helping growers to increase their yield when the water crisis is persistent and aggravated in the province, he mentioned.
Director Bashir Ahmed and Director Adil Amin and other concerned presented progress report of their respective sections.
