Ombudsman takes suo moto notice of certain public complaints

QUETTA: Provincial Ombudsman, Muhammad Wasey Tareen has taken suo moto notice of the certain public complaints regarding poor sewerage system on Munsafi road, Thana road, Soraj Ganj bazaar and Shahrah-e-Iqbal as well as problems of the Government Girls High School Quarry road, poor construction of the Government Inter-College Hairdin, District Sohbat Pur, poor state of Government Primary School Village Chalgari, Dera Murad Jamali, District Naseerabad and closure of Government Primary School Killi Ghousabad, Quetta for last five years.
According to an official hand out issued here by the Ombudsman Secretariat, the notice of all the issues have been taken and explanation has been sought from the concerned authorities.
Earlier, Provincial Ombudsman, Muhammad Wasey Tareen had also taken suo moto notice of the reports of illegal private hospitals and quakes in Killa Abdullah, out-of-order tube well on Patel Road, non-supply of water in Killi Shaikhan Quetta and Sibi city, delay in construction work on Sur Pul (bridge) in Harnai district, supply of contaminated water to residents of Wahdat colony and lack of facilities in Government Primary School Killi Sardar, Sariab.
The Ombudsman had also sought explanations from the concerned high ups.
Meanwhile, the Provincial Ombudsman Secretariat has set up a Hotline with cooperation of the Governance Support Project (GSP) Balochistan.
According to an announcement made by the Public Relation Officer of Provincial Ombudsman Secretariat, if any person has any complaint about any department of the Government of Balochistan may register one’s grievance by calling on the Toll Free No. 0800-01000 during the office timing (Monday to Friday).
