Closing ceremony of Winter Sports Festival today

QUETTA: Closing ceremony of the Winter Sports Festival 2015 is scheduled to be held today (Tuesday) at the Ayub Stadium here.
The Governor Balochistan, Muhammad Khan Achakzai, Chief Minister, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch, provincial ministers, Commander Southern Command, Lt. General Aamer Riaz, other senior military and civil officials are likely to attend the closing ceremony of the festival.
It may be mentioned here that the Winter Sports Festival was commenced in Quetta last week. Competitions of different sports were held in connection with the Festival.
Meanwhile, the Traffic Police has made special traffic arrangements for the closing ceremony of the Sports Festival so that the guests may not face any issue in making an access to the Ayub Stadium.
It has been stated that all the guests and participants would use the route of Jaffar Khan Jamali road – Chaman railway crossing after reaching the Zarghoon road.
The departure of the guests and others would also be from the external door of the Ayub Stadium.
According to the traffic plan, the entry of all unauthorized vehicles would be banned from Zarghoon road, Jail road, White road and Join road to the Chaman phatak (railwy crossing) half an hour before start of the programme. The guests bearing the cards would be eligible only to make an access to the Ayub Stadium.
In the meantime, the Jail road would remain one-way and the traffic would move from Ayub Stadium to Jail road, Mano Jan road and Samungli road.
The entry of the vehicles would also remain closed from Samungli road and Mano Jan road to Jail road and Ayub Stadium.
Therefore, the vehicles leading towards Jail road from the Quetta city would use the route of Spinny road to Mano Jan road while the Samungli road would be used for proceeding to Airport from the Jail road and adjacent areas.
Moreover, the entry of unauthorized vehicles would also be closed towards Chaman railway crossing before 30 minutes of end of the closing programme.
