HDP concerned about “non-effectiveness†of Local Bodies

QUETTA: Hazara Democratic Party (HDP) has expressed its concern over “non-transfer of powers†to the local bodies institutions in the province.
In a statement issued here, the spokesman of HDP said that it is a matter of concern that the powers have not been transferred to the local bodies’ institutions despite lapse of considerable time and at the time when they (LBs) are going to complete their two years’ period.
The provincial government had assured to resolve the issues of people at their doorstep, and for the purpose, the LBs elections were held in the province around two years ago. But, the promises made in this regard have not been fulfilled yet, he regretfully pointed out.
The government appears to be unsuccessful in resolving the issues of people at their doorstep, he maintained.
He demanded of the government to transfer necessary powers to the local bodies empowering them to take concrete steps for solution of the common men’s issues.
