QUETTA: The leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Provincial Minister for Food, Mir Izhar Hussain Khosa has categorically stated that the provincial government is determined to make the Food Department free of corruption.
“No one would be allowed to do corruption in the Department”, maintained the Minister during inspection of the wheat supply godowns in Loralai the other day.
He inspected all the godowns in Loralai where he was also briefed about the wheat stock there. the In-charge of PR Center, Ajmal Khan Kakar and Naik Muhammad Tareen briefed the visiting Provincial Minister about performance of the department and wheat stock made available in the godowns.
The Minister on the occasion directed to the concerned to ensure speedy supply of the wheat stocked in the godowns to the people for use. It is necessary to utilize the stock of wheat at time, he stressed.
He said that there is sufficient stock of wheat available with government in the province.
In this regard, the government is doing its best to provide relief to the people, Mir Izhar Khosa maintained. At the same time, he asserted that no one would be allowed to hoard unnecessarily wheat.
The stern action would be taken against the hoarders, he warned.
Referring to the issues of employees of the Food Department, the Minister assured that the same would be resolved on priority basis. The accommodation-related problems of the employees would also be resolved, he added.
