QUETTA: Two-day workshop was held under the auspices of In-service Training Academy of the Agriculture Department (Extension) here.
The agricultural experts participated in the workshop, which was organized on directives of the Secretary Agriculture, Abdul Rehman Buzdar and Director General, Agriculture (Extension), Yar Muhammad Pindrani.
The Director In-service Training Academy, Dr. Amanullah Salarzai presented their detailed research papers on the production potential of wheat in the province.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the main objective behind arranging the training workshop was to increase the productivity of wheat in the specific weather conditions. The workshop is also aimed at providing necessary information to the growers about the time of cultivation of wheat, use of fertilizers and water besides preparation of the land.
He said that we would be successful in increasing the production of wheat in Balochistan very soon.
Salarzai on the occasion urged the participants of the workshop to advise the growers fairly about production of wheat in their respective areas so as to increase the per acre yield.
The participants also discussed the issues related the wheat production in the province.
It may be mentioned here that the agricultural experts belonging to Quetta, Mastung, Kharan, Pishin, Washuk, Panjgur, Naseerabad participated in the workshop.
Meanwhile, it was informed on the occasion that similar training workshops would also be held in the wheat producing areas of the province so that the growers may benefit from expertise of the agricultural experts.
Needless to mention here is that the experts would impart training to the growers for better production of wheat in their areas.
