QUETTA:The Farmers’ Day was observed under auspices of the Development Project for fertility of land and agriculture research Balochistan at Zindra area of Ziarat.
The zamindars of the area participated in the ceremony in large number.
They were give useful advises and tips about better production of apple in the area. Particularly, they were informed about the means for prevention of lack of iron and zinc in the orchards of apples.
The agricultural chemist and researcher, Abdul Razzaq Sanjrani informed the apple growers about the wellbeing of the apple trees as they are facing issues of lack of zinc and iron besides boran in Ziarat.
He asked them to take well care of the trees and remove the deficiency of the iron and zinc in the apples by adopting necessary measures.
Director Agriculture (Research), Akhtar Munir, Adil Ameen and other experts including Zainullah Kakar, Nisar Ahmed Panezai and Deputy Directors Agriculture (Extension) Faizullah Shah and Deputy Director Water Management, Zafarullah Panezai also gave certain tips to the apple growers about better and healthy yield of apple.
