QUETTA: A meeting of the Standing Committee of Balochistan Assembly for Social Welfare, Women Development, Zakat, Ushr, Hajj, Minorities Affairs and Youth Affairs was held here the other day. The Chairperson of the Standing Committee, Dr. Shama Ishaq was in the chair at the meeting, which was attended by the members of the committee including MPA Ms. Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani and MPA, Ms. Masooma Hayat besides Secretary Provincial Assembly Azam Davi, Additional Secretary Law, Additional Secretary of the Standing Committee, Shamsuddin, Deputy Secretary, Tahir Shah and Director Women Development, Ms. Salman Qureshi.
The participants discussed the draft law on harassment of women at workplace.
The draft law, it may be mentioned here, had been handed over to the committee for discussion and consideration on August 15, 2015.
