QUETTA: The Section 144 has been imposed in connection with the supplementary examinations of Intermediate starting from September 24 (tomorrow) in the province.
This was informed by the Secretary Education, Abdul Saboor Khan Kakar while chairing a meeting about prevention of cheating in the examinations, here the other day.
He said that the initiative of Section 144 has been taken to prevent cheating and use of other unfair means in the examinations so effectively.
He said that the good reputed supervisory staff is being deployed to make cheating-free environment in the examinations.
Different teams of Education department would pay surprise visit to the examination centers in order to monitor performance of the supervisory staff, he maintained.
Referring the measures adopted and being adopted for prevention of cheating, thorough physical search of the candidates appearing in the examinations would be conducted before their entering in the exam centers.
There would also be a ban on carrying of the mobile phones and other accessories into the examination centers and the shops of photo state located in surrounding areas of the centers would also remain closed.
Stern action would be taken against the violators under Section 144, maintaining Secretary Education asserted.
Moreover, action would also be taken against those examination staff not performing well in the examinations, he maintained.
Those found negligent in their duties would be blacklisted for future, he warned.
Kakar also mentioned that the complaint cell established in the Policy Planning and Implementation Unit for prevention of cheating in examinations would be fully effective during the exam timing.
