QUETTA: The Director General of National Vocational & Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), Planning and Development, Abdul Rahim has stated that the Commission is committed to impart vocational and technical training to the unemployed youth under the Prime Minister’s Development Programme
He was talking during visit of different centers running under the NAVTTC’s Prime Minister Development Programme in Quetta the other day. Also present on the occasion were the Director general Balochistan, Abdul Rauf Baloch, Deputy Directors Abdul Manan, Muhammad Iqbal Umrani and Ghulam Yasin, Assistant Director Nazir Ahmed Baloch besides others.
The DG NAVTTC (Planning and Development) visited the Women Technical Training Center, School of Special Children, Government Vocational Institute, Professional Academy besides other centers.
Speaking on the occasion, the DG said that the vision of Prime Minister is to impart technical training to youth of the country and so of Balochistan so that they are able to face the future challenges.
NAVTTC is responsible for setting-up of national work-related skills standards, improvement of curriculum, national requirement outline, labor market information investigation, training of trainers, public private company and setting-up of institutional standards for TVET earners.
Their vision is to develop Skills for Employability. And their mission is to provide direction, funding and an enabling environment to the public and private sectors to device training for skills development in order to improve social and economic outline.
Director General Balochistan, Abdul Rauf Baloch said that wholehearted steps are being taken to make the youth useful citizens keeping the requirements of the modern day in view.
He said several training programmes are continued under NAVTTC in the province. These would help brighten future of youth of the province, he maintained.
The youth of the province may benefit from the programmes in a big way earning respectable livelihood for them and their families. In addition to it, the technical training programmes would also be launched at the district level, he announced.
