Laptops distributed among top six position holder students of PB-6

QUETTA: Top six position holder male and female students in various annual examinations belonging to PB-6 constituency were given laptops at a ceremony held here the other day.
The funds for the laptops were provided by the Member Provincial Assembly belonging to Pashtoonkhaw Milli Awami Party (PkMAP), Manzoor Ahmed Kakar from his MPA Fund.
Addressing the ceremony of laptops distribution, Manzoor Kakar said that the present provincial government was taking certain steps to remove educational backwardness in the province on war footing grounds.
He said that the nations equipped with ornament of education have only progressed in the world. It is time for us to take strides for development through education, he stressed. He said that there’s no dearth of talent in our students, what’s needed is to provide modern educational facilities to them in order to acquire modern education, he maintained.
He regretfully pointed out that the people were attracted towards the private schools for students of their children just because of lack of facilities in the educational institutions operating in the public sector.
The condition of our government schools was deteriorated as well, he added. Under the given circumstances, it becomes responsibility of the area elders and other concerned including the elder representatives to monitor performance of the schools operating in their respective areas, he stressed adding that in case of any negligence, they should timely inform the officers of Education department.
The department would be bound to take stern action against those involved in carelessness and negligence, he said.
Present in the ceremony also were the Director Education (Schools) Balochistan, Muhammad Anwar Shah, District Education Officer Quetta, Abdul Mateen Afridi, Deputy Education Officer, Chiltan Town, Gul Muhammad Kakar, Rehmatullah Sabir besides other concerned officers, teachers and students of various educational institutions.
The Director Education (Schools), DEO and others also addressed the gathering.
In the end, laptops were distributed among the position holder students.
