SSGC’s Winter Safety Media Awareness Campaign

QUETTA Nov 25 (PPI): Sui Southern Gas Company faced nearly 50 percent gas losses in Balochistan. It is more than 90 per cent in Kalat and Mastung only.
This was stated by Nisar Ahmed Shaikh SSGC North Zone Incharge while addressing Winter Safety Awareness Campaign here Tuesday.
He said SSGC immediately took notice of this situation and disconnected illegal connections. He said Deputy Commissioner Kalat supported us and so far we have disconnected over 200 connections. All these were illegal.
He told that SSGC has gasified 13 districts of Balochistan by laying 7190 Km pipeline. We have 2,50, 000 consumers and a total of Rupees 1400 million were outstanding against consumers both public and private.
Referring to low pressure he said SSGC has shortly completed Zarghoon pipeline project and started supply of gas to Quetta city. We have also supplemented supply to Mastung and Kalat well in time so that consumers get interrupted supply during winter.
In his vote of thanks Shahbaz Islam Acting GM Corporate said we have given a thought and with this deaths have been reduced to 48 from previous 74. He sid every one of us can bring a change and it would benefit all of us.
