Secretaries Committee meets, reviews various development projects

QUETTA: The meeting of the Provincial Secretaries Committee was held with Chief Secretary, Saifullah in the chair here.
The Additional Chief Secretary (Development), Naseebullah Khan Bazai as well as secretaries of all the provincial government departments were in attendance at the meeting.
The development schemes being executed by various departments as well as their overall functioning and progress were reviewed in the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, the Chief Secretary directed to secretaries of all the provincial government departments to complete the PC-I of all the development schemes of their respective departments by December 31, 2015.
He also directed to the secretaries to ensure timely completion of the ongoing development schemes maintaining their good quality.
This would help raise the living standard of the common men besides contributing in development of the province, he added.
He also directed to ensure obstruction of wastage of public exchequer.
The Chief Secretary directed to all the secretaries to hold progress review meetings along with pictures of the development work.
He directed further to ensure transparency in recruitments in all the departments. Moreover, the transfers and postings should also be made on merit, following the relevant rules and regulations besides the court’s judgments in this regard.
