QUETTA: The Provincial Secretary Food Department, Zafar Ali Buledi visited the Directorate of Food here the other day.
The Director Food, Mateen Khan Achakzai briefed the Secretary about the functioning of the Directorate and other related matters.
Speaking on the occasion, the Secretary Food directed to the officers to bring improvement in their performance further. He asserted that corruption would not be tolerated in the Food Department.
Effective steps are being taken to eliminate the corrupt elements in the Department, the Secretary mentioned.
He on the occasion also directed to the Director to improve the daily, weekly and monthly reporting system making effective the district and divisional tiers.
The Secretary Food also stressed the need to ensure supply of flour to the people at cheaper rates.
The quality of flour should also be ensured, he directed further. He assured that the genuine problems of the Food Department would be resolved.
