ECP issues Code of Conduct for bi-polls in PB-50, Kech-III

QUETTA: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued the Code of Conduct for the bi-elections to be held in PB-50, Kech-III.
This was informed by the Provincial Election Commission (PEC), Syed Sultan Bayazeed in a statement issued here.
All the candidates contesting elections have been asked to strictly follow the Code of Conduct. In this regard, the District Returning Officer and Returning Officer have also been issued directives.
The PEC said that no one is above the law, so strict action would be taken against the candidate committing violation of the Code of Conduct.
Security for bi-polls discussed:
The provincial government would provide foolproof security to maintain law and order on occasion of bi-elections in the provincial assembly’s constituency, PB-50, Kech-III.
This was assured by the Chief Secretary Balochistan, Saifullah Chattha during his meeting with the Provincial Election Commission (PEC), Syed Sultan Bayazeed here the other day.
During the meeting, the arrangements of security and other related ones were discussed.
The Chief Secretary assured to the PEC that the provincial government would extend full cooperation to the Election Commission in the bi-election.
It may be mentioned here that the polling for bi-election in Kech-III would be held on December 31, 2015.
The Supreme Court of Pakistan had ordered re-election in PB-50 after rejection of the appeal of the then elected MPA, Mir Akbar Askani.
