QUETTA: The Private Schools Regulatory Authority (PSRA) has been established to encourage the private educational institutions as well as to run them as per the rules and regulations besides patronizing them.
This was stated by the Secretary Education, Government of Balochistan, Abdul Saboor Khan Kakar while talking to the representatives of the private educational institutions including Jaffar Khan Kakar and Nazar Muhammad Baraich, who called on him here the other day.
The Secretary Education commended the role of private institutions in promotion of education in the province. The role of private institutions has been very important and as such it is included in our priorities to encourage them, Abdul Saboor Kakar maintained.
He said that while the PSRA has been established with the aim to encourage the private institutions, their reservations and apprehensions regarding the authority would be reviewed, adding he assured.
The Secretary Education on the occasion mentioned that whatever legislation is made by the government is made for welfare of the masses.
The legislation is also made to bring improvement in the system further, as no system can run without following the rules and regulations, he believed.
However, the Secretary was agreed to review the Private Schools Regulatory Authority with the aim to bring more improvement in it.
During the meeting, it was also pledged to work together for the cause of education in the province.
It was also decided that the representatives of the institutions would also be given due representation in the PSRA.
They also thanked the Secretary Education for paying heed towards their concerns about the new initiative of the government.
The representatives of the private institutions vowed to play their wholehearted part in this regard.
