Homage to be paid to martyred students for
their sacrifices to be immortalized forever

QUETTA: The Quettaites would also be observing the first anniversary of the martyrs of Army Public School (APS) Peshawar today (Wednesday) as the people of other parts of the country.
Different functions and activities have been arranged to mark the anniversary in Quetta and different other parts of the Balochistan province.
While the anniversary is being observed at various educational institutions in Quetta city and the cantonment, different other activities are also being held to mark the anniversary of the APS martyrs including its young students and teachers.
The functions would be held at the educational institutions in the Quetta cantonment. The activities marking the day would also be held under the arrangements of Frontier Corps (FC) at the district level.
A similar activity would also be held at a private school located in the Satellite Town.
While on the other hand, the Awami National Party (ANP) has also arranged a ceremony marking the first anniversary of the martyrs of APS. Special prayers would be held on the occasion as well.
An event has also been organized by the Youth Council at the Balochistan Boy Scouts Association’s headquarter here the same afternoon.
Moreover, candle lighting activity is being arranged by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) today evening outside the Press Club.
The special prayers would be offered for the departed souls of the martyrs at the ceremonies. The young students, teachers and other staff, who embraced martyrdom in the gory incident would also be paid homage on the occasion.
A year has passed to APS Peshawar incident, the enemy who targeted innocent children have reached to logical end, but the sacrifices of young children have been immortalized forever.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif attributed 122 schools with the names of school martyrs.
It was a cold morning of December 16, 2014, when armed terrorists crossed all limits of barbarism and martyred 141 people including 132 children, whereas several had been injured. The sacrifice of innocent children jolted the whole nation and the nation stood alongside Pakistan Army against terrorism.
Peshawar incident was a harrowing incident that shook the whole world. The whole world condemned the incident. It was a terrible and most tragic incident in the history of Pakistan.
Needless to mention here is that Peshawar incident martyrs sacrifices united the whole Pakistani nation. Terrorists could not find any place to hide. The sacrifices of young children have been immortalized forever.
