PEC announces unofficial result of bi-elections of Chairman, Vice Chairman of UCs

QUETTA: The unofficial and unconfirmed results of the bi-elections conducted on seats of chairman and vice-chairman of various Union Councils in four districts of the province have been announced.
According to the unofficial results as released from the office of the Provincial Election Commissioner (PEC) Balochistan, Mir Jan was elected unopposed as Chairman of Union Council Safaid of Kohlu district. Similarly, from the Union Council Kingri of Musa Khail district, Dost Muhammad was elected as Vice Chairman.
Similarly, Muhammad Ali was elected as Vice Chairman of Union Council Marp of District Kalat while Rustam Ali was declared successful as Chairman of Union Council Akbarabad of Jhal Magsi district and Rasool Bakhsh was elected as Vice Chairman of Union Council Hathiyari of the same district (Jhal Magsi).
It may be mentioned here that the seats of the Chairman and Vice Chairman of different Union Councils had fallen vacant due to certain reasons where the Election Commission conducted bi-elections.
According to the press release issued here by the PEC, the bi-elections in all the four districts were held in peaceful manner.
Polling scheme for PB-50:
The Provincial Election Commissioner (PEC) Balochistan, Syed Sultan Bayazeed has issued the poling scheme for the bi-elections to be held in PB-50, Kech-III.
According to an official press release, the polling scheme has been issued by the Returning Officer with approval of the District Returning Officer.
As per the scheme announced, a total of 69 polling stations have been set up for the bi-elections in the constituency.
For the purpose of bi-elections, 69 Presiding Officers would discharge the responsibilities with 138 each Assistant Presiding Officers and Polling Officers.
There are a total of 58,699 voters in the constituency. They are included: 31,507 male voters and 27,192 female voters.
As per the announcement made, the polling would be conducted on December 31.
