Delegation of Zamindar Committee calls on CM

QUETTA: A delegation of the Zamindar Action Committee led by Agha Lal Jan Ahmedzai called on the Chief Minister. Also present in the meeting was the Member Provincial Assembly and former Minister Finance, Mir Asim Kurd.
The members of the delegation informed the Chief Minister about the issues of the zamindars particularly the issue of depletion of under ground water table in the province.
The Chief Minister said that the government is well aware of the issues of zamindars. He assured that the government is already taking steps to resolve the issues of growers. The necessary steps are also being taken to bring improvement in under ground water table, as in this regard the federal government has also been requested to construct the big, medium and small dams for storage of water in different parts of the province, he maintained.
Moreover, the federal government has also been requested to provide financial resources for shifting of the agricultural tube wells on solar energy, he maintained.
