220 students imparted IT training with support of Oracle and Cisco

At least 1250 more students to be enrolled
in second phase of training programme,
visiting Advisor to CM informed

QUETTA: The present provincial government is taking wholehearted measures for promotion of education and information technology in the province.
This was stated by the Advisor to Chief Minister for Information and Information Technology, Sardar Raza Muhammad Barech while speaking on occasion of his visit of the Directorate of Information Technology, here the other day. The Director General of IT, Khalid Sher Dil briefed the visiting Advisor about progress of the directorate.
Also present on the occasion were the representative of Oracle, Irfan Shahzad and other high ups.
It was informed that some 220 male and female students were imparted the IT training besides conducting various courses in first phase in collaboration with the Oracle and Cisco. While in second phase, 850 more students (both male and female) would be imparted training, it was informed further.
The Advisor for Information Technology said that the education based on modern technology is need of the present era. We could progress rather achieve distinctions benefitting from the information technology, he added.
He stressed the need to impart training to the maximum students in second phase. For instance, at least 1500 male and female students should be given admission in the training programme being launched as part of the second phase, he stressed further.
Director Oracle, Irfan Shahzad assured to the Advisor to Chief Minister that as many as 1250 students instead of 850 would be imparted training in the second phase.
Sardar Raza Muhammad Barech appreciated the initiative of the Oracle and termed it a very important advancement. It would help promote further the IT sector in the province, he believed.
He also directed to launch a comprehensive and effective awareness campaign for importance and benefits of the IT all over the province.
The Advisor on the occasion went round of the IT classes. He also had an interaction with the students attending classes there.
Needless to mention here is that the Oracle and Cisco are considered to be important after Microsoft in the world of Information Technology under the students of the province are being imparted training.
