Women Day to be observed today

QUETTA: The World Women’s Day would be observed in befitting manner today (Wednesday) in Quetta.
This was stated by the Chairperson of Tanzim Idara Bahali-e-Mustehqeen (TIBM), Mrs. Surriya Allahdin here.
She said that a function is being arranged by the TIBM in collaboration with different other organizations working in the social sector and especially for wellbeing of the women.
The basic objective behind organizing the event is to honour the distinguished women of different sectors, and of course, to acclaim their invaluable services and achievements, she said adding that we are going to award the best achiever women on that day.
Moreover, a painting exhibition marking the International Women’s Day is scheduled to be held on March 8 (tomorrow) at the Art Gallery of Idara-e-Saqafat here.
The Directorate of Culture Balochistan has arranged the exhibition. Member Provincial Assembly, Ms. Yasmeen Lehri would inaugurate the exhibition.
Mostly the paintings of the female artists would be put on display portraying the state of women, their role and achievements in them.
It may be mentioned here that the World Women Day is celebrated on March 8 every year in the country as elsewhere in the world.
