CM takes revolutionary step for supply of water to Quetta

HQ : Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri while taking a revolutionary step to overcome serious water crisis in Quetta city had directed for preparing feasibility report and PC-1 by May this year for supply of water form Pat Feeder to Quetta and allocation of funds for the project .
He gave this approval at a high level meeting held to review water crisis being faced by Quetta and its resolution on permanent groudns.
Balochistan Chief Secretary, Additional Secretary Planning and Development, Secretary Irrigation, Secretary PHE and Secretary Fiancé and other concerned officials were present.
Chief Minister directed that River Indus water project to Quetta via Pat Feeder Canal should be completed in two to three years to met water requirements of Quetta.
He further directed for immediate start of work on already approved Mangi Dam and its completion in scheduled period besides preparing feasibility report and PC-1 of Burj Aziz Dam on emergency basis.
It is added here that soon after assuming power Nawab Zehri had kept resolution of water problem in Quetta in its priorities. An important seminar was also held recently in this regard. With consultations and opinions of water experts project for supply of water from Pat Feeder Canal to Quetta has been given final shape.
This step would lead to resolution of water in Quetta within two to three years. Decision and Impletion of this project is good news for citizens of Quetta and seriousness of Chief Minister for resolving problems of people.
