HQ : Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri has said in democracy people have ruling right while service to people is responsibility of elected representatives. Whatever decisions we would take about development of the province and resolving problems of people their implementation would be ensured. In the past younger generation was left at the mercy of anti social elements and acts of terrorism were overlooked but we would not do so. Neither terrorists would be spared nor future of younger generation would be allowed to be at stake.
He said this while talking with a delegation of Balochistan High Court Bar Association here Friday which called under the eldership of senior Advocate Baz Muhammad Kakar.
Apprising Bar delegation of improving law and order situation and establishing good governance Chief Minister said we are fighting against fire that was existing for the last one decade. People from every walk of life have to play their role. We would not do anything as to feel ashamed before masses. We would give a peaceful and developed Balochistan to our younger generation so that we are remembered with good words.
He said ever since he assumed office of Chief Minister a major wave of terrorism hit the province. Anti state elements were perhaps of the view we would be frightened with such acts. But we did not compromise on establishing law and order and were fighting with terrorists and scores of elements were taken to task involved in killing of innocent people. Owing to government measures law and order situation has greatly improved.
He said role of lawyers in establishing law and order is of great significance and government and lawyers are partners.
Referring to steps taken for improving Quetta city he said he has accorded approval for providing water to Quetta city from Pt Feeder Canal under Quetta Greater Water Supply scheme and funds for this project would be earmarked during next financial year.
Expressing dissatisfaction over cleanliness situation in the city he said Quetta should be made most clean city for which he ahs released Rupees 50 million to Metropolitan Corporation.
He said mass transit train system was being introduced for Quetta while work on disposal of solid waste management would also start soon to depose off filth.
He announced setting up of dispensary at District Kutchery and appointment of doctors and para medical staff.
Accepting invitation for addressing Bar he said he would soon visit High Court Bar and meet lawyers.
